Besides the weather, one of the things I hear the locals talking about A LOT here is the state fair. Apparently, it takes 3 whole days to see this huge event. Phillip, Parker and I are going to do it in a short afternoon (truth be told, it is probably all Parker could handle). I am so excited to check it out. I haven't been to a state fair since I was a little girl. The one thing I am particularly excited about is trying the deep fried Oreo cookies I have heard so much about.
