Cute Kate Spade Dresses and Such!

Did you know that Kate Spade sells clothing and jewelry as well? I suppose the line is becoming more popular because I have noticed a significant increase in items this season than I have in the past. And of course, I absolutely LOVE it! The clothing is so completely Kate. Vintage. Colorful. Cheeky. Notice the cute little pom-pom trim at the hemline on the zebra dress? And that pink and orange dress makes me want to throw on some Frank Sinatra and make a martini!

Even her blouses are adorable. This top looks like it came right out of the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's. I would wear this top to death. I love it with matchstick jeans as well as with a pencil skirt and bright, lipstick red heels.

My absolute favorite piece is the cute zebra keyfob. I actually have been looking for a keyfob because Phillip keeps taking my keys instead of his and it drives me CRAZY. This one is so funny. I love the fact that the view of the zebra is from behind!

Trina Turk Spring Line

I am so completely crushing on Trina's Spring '09 line! I don't know if it is because she has all of those fabulous bright colors or I just love the way the photos are styled...whatever the reason, I am drooling! But alas, how can I even think about spring when it is ZERO DEGREES here. Sigh.

Notice the adorable tights in the above picture? I love the idea of the tights paired with this dress...and the cute little shoes. I might be able to get away with this look at the toddler park...

Phillip and I are talking about a vacation...I could always use a cute little sun dress.
I love the pencil skirt styled in such a resort sort of way! And the green ROCKS! And there are those tights again!
Zebra trench coat, vintage looking sunglasses and an adorable hat?! All of my favorite things!

I Am Seriously Crushing on these floral tights!

A while back, I read a post from Cherry Blossom Girl (a fantastic styled blog concerning all things vintage and french) regarding floral tights and instantly fell in love with the images. I have always loved this look. It is one you find in magazines often, but I have found it incredibly hard to find floral tights for grown women in the U.S. I think that leg wear is an excellent way for a woman to express her femininity and personal style. Unfortunately, unless you want grey, brown or black, it is difficult to find other colors, much less floral prints (now I realize that this past season or two there has been a bit more of a variety in leg wear then what us American women are used to seeing, but you know what I mean...).

But then the heavens parted and the flood gates opened! Urban Outfitters had the cutest pair of floral tights for sale - and I am getting them! Now if it will only get warm enough to wear them here in Minneapolis...

Crochet in a Different Way

I know I have said this before, but I am constantly amazed by people's talent. Crochet had been a craft that, until the last few years, had become a bit "dusty" and boring. But now, with a new generation of crafters and artists, I have seen some beautiful things. I found this fantastic scarf lariat on Etsy (one of my all time favorite sites). Check out the artist, Boutique Pink Designs. The shop has a great selection of scarves, scarflettes, wraps, fingerless gloves. The shop is full right now, so maybe you will find a fantastic Christmas gift.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Well, within a two week period the temperature plummeted here! We had snow flurries last weekend. The snow did not stick, but it was a sad reminder of things to come. Not that I don't like snow. I do. There is something magical about FRESH fallen snow. But when it sticks around for months and months and months (no exaggeration, unfortunately), one gets a bit sick of the snow. By then, it turns all gross and dirty. The beautiful virgin white snow is only a memory.

I think I need this hat makes the statement I will want to make by January.
