Great Fabric from Cicada Studio

I am loving the new graphic designed fabric from Cicada Studio's Etsy shop.  So graphic and fun!  I only wish there was a black and white fabric, especially in the zig zag.  It is just the right amount of modern print that I want to add to my black and white medallion print wallpaper for the family room.

Cicado Studio's Earthly Delights series also has some nice prints in it.  I like the light blue and green in the two above.  I think the above two fabrics would be adorable as a little apron or something.

Perfect Little French Chairs

I am loving these chairs on Etsy right now. So vintage, so French, so different. They probably are not the most comfortable chairs to sit on, but does that really matter? I can easily see them in our house! The problem is, I all ready have way too many chairs (4 chairs that need to be recovered), so the last thing I really need to spend our money on is more chairs I don't know what to do with. Crochet in a Different Way

I know I have said this before, but I am constantly amazed by people's talent. Crochet had been a craft that, until the last few years, had become a bit "dusty" and boring. But now, with a new generation of crafters and artists, I have seen some beautiful things. I found this fantastic scarf lariat on Etsy (one of my all time favorite sites). Check out the artist, Boutique Pink Designs. The shop has a great selection of scarves, scarflettes, wraps, fingerless gloves. The shop is full right now, so maybe you will find a fantastic Christmas gift.

Sometimes, when Parker is taking a nap, I spend a few minutes browsing Etsy. I am obsessed with Etsy. If you are interested in unique, handmade items then Etsy is the place to go. Every time I browse this site I get so frustrated. There are so many talented people out there and I am not one of them. It is so frustrating to have an eye for design yet lack the knowledge and skill to make anything of it. It is my own fault. I never learned how to sew or sketch. It is something I have always inteded on doing, but have not yet gotten around to it. Shame on me!

I found Vicky Riley on Etsy and immediately fell for her adorable little clutch bags. They are so sweet and vintage styled! I could totally see these selling in my fave store, Anthropologie. If I ever get to fulfill my dream of owning my own shop, I would definitely want to carry these bags made by Vicky.
